Saffron Extract

This 30:1 extract powder is a concentrated form of saffron specially selected for potency and convenience. We source it directly from the laboratory that performs the extraction.

The primary active compounds in saffron are crocetin and safranal, which have valuable antidepressant, antitumor, anti-inflammatory, and antioxidant benefits. In clinical trials crocetin has been repeatedly shown to be a significantly more effective antidepressant than pharmaceutical SSRIs.

Small doses of 5-10 milligrams (mg) provide a quick burst of energy and reduced inflammation. Larger doses of 25-35 mg provide a more noticeable mood-lift and relief of mild pain. Saffron extract is non-toxic and is generally safe to re-dose as needed for desired effects. Start with a small dose. Some people may be more sensitive than others.

The spoon can be used to measure dosage. The small side holds 5-10 mg and the larger side holds 25-35 mg. For quickest effect, place dose on or under tongue and hold until powder dissolves. Alternatively, mix into your preferred food or drink.
